In a bizarre partnership that defies traditional expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Prizes and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an special katana alongside numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
